COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

Dear members of St. Peter Lutheran Church and School,

The Church Council has approved a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan and a timeline for having on-site services again. The plan outlines requirements and protection protocols to be implemented to protect our staff and members as we get back to public worship. Please review the plan in detail so you understand when and how worship will be conducted for the present time. The preparedness plan is a “living, active” document. As restrictions and conditions change, so will the plan. Church leadership will continue to update you on any new information that pertains to you! Below you will find a cover letter from Pastor Kelly, outlining “why” we are working diligently to get back to public worship, and the COVID-19 Plan itself. For those uncomfortable with public worship at this time, don’t worry!  We will continue to offer livestream services for now.

God’s blessings to you!

Church President,  Jacob Yushta

We Welcome Jennifer Adickes to our Church and School Staff!
We are excited to welcome Jennifer Adickes to the staff of Saint Peter Lutheran Church and School! Jennifer was assigned to our congregation on May 16th by the Martin Luther College Assignment Committee to be our parish musician and to teach grades 2-3 in the afternoon for next school year.

We look forward to having her join our staff this summer! We thank God for providing our congregation and school with another willing servant to carry on the ministry among us and to round out our staff for next school year!

New Confirmation Date
Confirmation class was originally scheduled for May 3th, 2020, but we have postponed that until June 7th, 2020 during the 10:30 a.m. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Heise. There will be special regulations followed during this service, in line with the CoVID-19 Preparedness plan above. It will be a joy to celebrate this event with the confirmands and their families.

Family Bible Hour

Family Bible hour is an inter-generational Bible study for all ages. We will be broadcasting via Zoom in between services from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. starting June 14th. This leaves enough time for first service attendees to get home after that service, and enough time for late service attendees to leave after FBH is done. This year well will be following Paul on his missionary journeys, as he spreads the gospel to people who had never heard of Jesus before. Hear the story, play unique games, sing songs, and learn about Jesus, the God of all.

Church and School Office Hours
Our Church and School office will be open and have staff coverage Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Feel free to contact any Executive Committee member with any questions, comments or concerns. Our goal is to continue to serve our members as best we can under the most current conditions. If you know someone who is not connected electronically, please reach out to them with this information. This will be posted on our website and Facebook Page.
